Coordinator for Stonington Public Schools
Our keynote speaker will be Lea Graner-Kennedy. She has served as the Humanities and World Language Coordinator, French and Spanish Teacher and Curriculum Writer for Stonington Public Schools in CT over the past 15 years. Lea has also worked with various districts in a consultant role teaching professional development and has presented at state, regional, and national conferences each year. She has a passion for teacher training and collaborating with dynamic language teachers to design and teach authentic, proficiency-based curriculum in alignment with ACTFL Standards. In her role as the NADSFL representative for the Northeast, she helps with the NECTFL Conference and works to bring language educators together to delve into best practices and new initiatives put forth by ACTFL.
Lea Graner Kennedy was the 2016 Supervisor of the Year for the National Association of District Supervisors of Foreign Languages (NADSFL). Lea is a French and Spanish teacher and administrator with Stonington Schools (CT) and also serves as a world language consultant working with many districts. Lea is on the board for NADSFL, President of the CT Council of Language Teachers (COLT) and currently serves as the President of CT COLT. Lea was the NECTFL (Northeast Conference) Emerging Leader named to participate in the inaugural cohort through the national Leadership Initiative for Language Learning (LILL) program. Lea has provides numerous workshops for ACTFL, supporting schools deeply examining their practices to become even more effective.

OFLTA takes pride in offering an excellent conference experience! The Board works tirelessly to organize and plan many months in advance attending to all the details, catering included based on advance registration numbers. In order to keep conference prices affordable to our membership and in an effort to purchase only what is necessary, cancellations after September 17th, or conference no-shows, will have $20 cancellation charge.
