Certificate of Commendation for Outstanding Work in Foreign Language Studyfor High School Students
For a high school student to be nominated by his or her teacher, the following criteria must be satisfied:
1. The nominee must have studied the same foreign language for at least three years, or be currently enrolled in the third or fourth year. 2. The nominee must have maintained at least a B+ or 3.3 average on a 4.0 scale in these language courses. 3. Students who go on to study a fourth year of the same language and meet the grade point requirements may be nominated to receive another certificate for the fourth year as well. 4. The nominating teacher is a current member of OFLTA. (The nominating teacher may nominate as many students as qualify for this certificate.) 5. The nominating teacher shall fill out the official OFLTA nomination form and mail it to the OFLTA Student Awards Chairperson. 6. OFLTA suggests that these certificates be handed out in connection with awards assemblies or other special awards programs held at the end of the school year. 7. Deadline for receipt of nomination forms is March 1, 2006. Certificates will be returned to you for completion and distribution.
